you have to testfire it. LJ can't pay much ransom anyway so one need not waste the trial on a victim one could extort. Also if one DDOSed a betting/selling site now they would prepare.

Serious there have been blackmails associated with DDOS attacks - an UK based betting site for example. As the soccer worldcup will be in 37 days (http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/index.html) soon there will be good targets for that kind of thing.
( I wish the cup was over , I do not look forward to having unnecessary amounts of soccer fans in Cologne - nor to have every quiet coffeebar and bistro transformed into a temporary sportsbar with a noisy TV)
