I've seen that one demonstrated by an excessivily hairy troglodyte classmate of mine, but he wasn't blowing fire... suffice it to say it involved bending over.
Personally I'd have loved to have seen the faces of the ER staff as he tried to explain that.
I think there are better and less-risky ways... and while burning off one's facial hair may seem like an inexpensive option at first, the potential cost of medical treatment for facial burns would probably put it above other options in terms of overall financial cost.
