I haven't had a family picture taken since Eliza was two or three. She'll be eight in June. The "not now, maybe in a few months" thing goes something like this.

• "Not now, I don't like my hair like this. Maybe when it grows a little and I get a cut I like."
• "Not now, my hair is all shaggy."
• "Not now, I just got frustrated and shaved all my hair off. I like the buzzcut, but it weirds out some family members."
• "Not now, the growing-out buzzcut is at the 'sagittal crest' point and that's not a good look."
• "Not now, I don't like my hair like this. Maybe when it grows a little and I get a cut I like."

Yeah, maybe in a few months when I get a cut I like.

For similar reasons, I have yet to have a family photo taken of me with the boys.

Mine is more like, "not now, maybe in a few months after I lose some weight." And then I lose about 20 pounds, but I want to lose more because of that whole 10 pound camera trick so I don't take the pics because I still want to lose more. Then I sabotage myself and gain all of it and then some back.
