I have a pair of ballet slippers (not those, these), and they are about as close as one can get to being barefoot in an office.  First time I wore them, I was all, "Oh my god, I'm flat on the floor!!"

Even sandels have some heel to them.

Oooh. Are they nice and breatheable and stuff?

The shoes I'm wearing now are designed to look like ballet slippers, but have that semi-rigid "this is a flat women's dress shoe" construction. (They're rubbing at my achilles tendon and the joint of my big toe. Booo.)

Sandals are nice because I can slip my feet out and rest them on top of the sandals while sitting (keeping my feet from touching the floor and dealing with that health issue thing) but quickly slip them back on when I need to stand. But yeah, if there were something soft and breatheable enough that my feet didn't demand freedom in the first place, that'd be really nice.

Ha!  The ones I have are all kinds of malleable, baybee.  It's less like a shoe and more like a leather sheath.  I have to take pictures of other things later; I'll take pics of said slippers tonight.

As for breathable... I mean, they're leather, they're about as breathable as leather is.  You could get away with poking holes in them...

You can get the kind that actual dancers wear. They have no heel and are very lightweight and available at dance supply stores. They do tend to wear out quickly, but if you only wear them indoors, they last longer.
