Wasband #1 and his mother came walking up to my house, out of the blue. They live three hours away. I had no idea they were coming up today, or at any point in the near future. My house is, of course, trashed. Fabulous.

He says he's got some very important things to discuss with the family. (*Yawn*, that's nice.) He says he's got two really great job offers, in Indonesia. (Job offers: they obviously don't know him well, as he can't keep a job for more than a few months, and has never been re-hired by a past employer. Indonesia: tell me more about going far, far away.) He'd be gone for about five years, at which point he'd have made enough money to retire. (Five years: far far away for a long, long time... I like it. Enough money to retire: bullshit.) In the meantime, he'd be able to not only pay his monthly child support obligation, but pay me as much as $500 per month! (Him paying child support would be novel. He owes me about $10,000 in back child support, and thinks he deserves a fucking medal every time he gives me $10 to get the kids some clothes. If he thinks $500/month comes close to what it costs to support two children, he's an imbecile. But we already knew that.)

They took the kids out to lunch. They offered to take me too, but I declined. The less time I spend around that man, the happier I am. You know... it's bad when you can smell the halitosis from five feet away. I was obviously suffering from a time-limited lobotimization when I married. Both times.
