... been playing a bit too much "The Sims 2" when you see a man with a round little potbelly and wonder if he was abducted and is pregnant with an alien baby or if he used the boolprop cheat to get the Tombstone of L&D...

.. and then want to run up to him and say "OMG dude, you can't go to a community lot when you're pregnant, your hunger and energy bars will redline before you can get home and you'll die of starvation at your curb" and give him a handful of Instant Meals to chug while calling a taxi for him.


... just saying.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I spun my mattress 180° to put the big body-sucking gravity well at the bottom instead of the top. I'll have to test it, but I might just be able to sleep on it. At the very least, canyonwren will have a big-enough, good-enough bed.

It's really a great game, and the best thing (IMO) about it is that you can really play it any way you want. It's purposely set up that way. Some people play it because they like building ornate houses. Others like physically torturing their Sims and then killing them off.


Me, I'm into Jerry Springer storylines and psychological torture of my Sims. ;-)

I'm obviously playing Beta Sims or something, as the biggest excitment in my Sim's life is when the mail comes. Tell me, Oh Sim Mistress of Wonder, What does one do once one has mastered cooking, has a couple of friends, the big comfy bed, a cappuchino machine and a pool? There must be upgrades and such that I'm not getting somewhere.

One starts seducing the neighbors when one's partner is at work, having 'illegitimate' babies, creating twisted and awful storylines. Then one starts investigating the existing cheats and downloading 'hacks' and custom content. Along the way, one experiments with new and interesting ways to kill off the Sims which bore or annoy one.
