Everybody Say Yay
Sep. 5th, 2003 07:48 amTwo good things happened right before I left for the neck-snippage yesterday. I was offered an apartment in the YWCA's Transitional Housing Program, and the Student Assault Resource Center (name change, it got a bit awkward being known as SARS) called to see if I'd like to be an advocate again this year. I'm doing a weekend page shift on Saturday. I'm pretty excited to get back into that. Believe it or not, I've missed the nights of fitful sleep, waiting for the pager to go off so I can help talk a frightened woman through her experience of being sexually assaulted or living with relationship violence.
I'll be doing a walk-through of the new apartment this afternoon, and can sign a lease next week. Now the packing begins in earnest. Missoula people, are you still willing to help me move? :-)
Ugh... the Lortab made me sick. Just threw up. Hell. I need to play "race the check to the bank" this morning as soon as the kids go to school.
