Expenses:
Car registration:
pay it and stop getting the damn $10 tickets every third day.
$99.48
September rent:
assuming we're still here by then, and it looks like we will be
$433.00
Credit card bills:
to get current so they'll stop calling three times per day, per card
$450.00
Carpet cleaning:
for when we move
$45.00
First and last month's rent + deposit on new place: approximately$2100.00
Power bill:$90.00
Phone bill:$40.00

Crap to do:
  • Pack all non-essential stuff. Get rid of half of it. If it's non-essential, why do we have it?

  • Wash the damn dishes. Pack as I wash them and use wasteful, environment-destroying paper stuff until we move.

  • Catch up on laundry.

  • Go to Job Service.

  • Finish registering at employment agencies.

  • Go through clothes [livejournal.com profile] redrita sent.

  • Check the snail-mail.

  • Seriously think about staying with the construction job for a while, because there's no way I'll make this much elsewhere.

  • Consolidate student loans. (Anyone know about this? Anything I should be aware of?)

  • Call pharmacy and see if they have a refill in the computer for the right dose of synthetic thyroid. Pick up all my prescriptions (currently 5).

Student Loans

Consolidate through Direct Loans - U.S. Department of Education. It is very easy, and they are the most lenient if you run into situations where you can't pay on your loans for a few months. I was three months behind at one point with no relief in sight, coming up on Christmas, continually dodging their phone calls when they happened to catch me on my work phone one day. They immediately put in a forebearance (no payments for period of time) for me that covered all the months I had already missed, and two into the future, so I could start paying my monthly payments again (increased by maybe $1) after Christmas. I've had to reduce or eliminate payments since then, and they've never turned me down, or asked for any financial information to back up my claims. Basically, if you tell them you're willing to pay, just unable for right now, they will always work with you.

And once you have a loan through them, you can do everything online, including receive bills, so you don't forget to pay!
