There's nothing like starting your day by cooking up an elaborate daydream in which you are terribly betrayed and hurt by someone you love very much... and which is convincing enough to make you wonder how that person really does think and feel about you.

I think I'm too imaginative for my own good.

Those are the kind of 'daydreams' I get, not always negative, but they make me wonder about my sanity because I believe them so thoroughly.

Yowch. I've done that, and I try to be pretty firm with myself not to let it happen. If I'm feeling lonely or sad, they can creep up though. I always tell myself that my imagination is always (or often, anyway) worse than reality.
