Circle Time

Top row (second day of the build), left pic: that flash of red to the left of the leftmost window buck would be me.
Top row, right pic: the fact that my face is hidden behind the window buck is neither a coincidence nor an accident. You can see a little corner of my purple bandanna. Yay, bandanna.
Bottom row (first day), left pic: the urchin in chrome yellow and navy blue would be Mark, age almost-ten. The strawbale he's moving weighs only slightly less than himself. Check the gloves o' toughness.
Bottom row, right pic: the brown-haired urchin in the grey t-shirt would be James, age eleven-and-a-half. You can't see his gloves o' toughness, but he is wearing them.

gryphonwing read it when she stayed with us in 2002, and warned me that it is NOT a children's book, as it follows the characters from The Secret Garden through adulthood. Damned if it hasn't made me cry five different times. I run upstairs when I get home from work so I can read and see what happens next. So far I've resisted the urge to bring it to work, because I wouldn't get a damned thing done other than cry for poor beautiful Dickon. I ♥ Dickon.
