Random Opinion on "Welfare Reform"

Okay, so your poor single mother meets a nice man and marries him because it'll get her and her child off welfare and into a decent standard of living. That's great! They're all in love and stuff, and they have enough money to have another child. That's great! But gee, it turns out that financial stability is a really crappy reason to get married, and things aren't working out so well. They divorce.
And now she's back in poverty, with one more child than she had before. GREAT!
This is where TANF funds, meant to help the very poorest families (those making less than 50% of the amount designated as Poverty Level) afford things like housing, power, clothing, and diapers: things which are covered neither by Food Stamps or Medicaid, are being spent. GREAT!
