*ahem*

I have learned to drink my coffee without any sweetener.

I feel so much closer to being a Real Grownup™ now.

I maintain that I must keep using creamer-things in my coffee because I am at risk for osteoporosis and milk does a body good. Yes, even the powdered chemical stuff that has never been within ten feet of anything resembling milk. Using creamer-things in my coffee is the responsible adult thing to do. My health, you see.

That is all.

ETA: (It's never all, is it?) Okay, about that grownup thing. It has just occurred to me that I am less than seven years away from the age at which my mother became a grandmother, and only three years from the age at which my grandmother gained such status.

*blink*

I still use cream and sugar in my coffee, because that's the way I prefer it. I've made several good attempts at drinking it black. Some days, I do even like it that way. But mostly, half-and-half and real sugar is the way to go for me.

I've tried the powder, and the aspartame sweetener, but concluded that I'd just rather not drink it at all under those circumstances.

The acid and the caffeine of coffee are just too much for my delicate little self to handle, so I say that coffee is just an excuse to drink cream and sugar.

I ♥ your delicate little self. (And am chuckling a bit at that description of your strong, wonderful self.)

I heart my delicate little self too. And I was hoping that your delicate little self would laugh over that.

My delicate little self decided, while in the shower this morning, that it wants to learn to rappel this summer. (Because it is terrified of heights, see.)

I am... oh, let's see... two years and three months younger than my mother was when she first became a grandmother. I am one year and eight months younger than my maternal grandmother when she first became a grandmother. Damn... when did I get old enough to be a grandmother?
