Among one's list of "things to do before mixing up a double batch of banana-nut bread batter because there are four overripe bananas on the banana hanger" would be "make sure you own loaf pans."

I made my banana "bread" in a bundt cake pan. It seems more festive that way.

With a bit of clever folding you can make a one-time use loaf pan from aluminum foil. You can also use a saucepan or skillet if it has an oven safe handle.

Cake pan, pie tin, casserole dish, oven-safe skillet, pretty much ANYTHING will work.
