I look like a dork wearing hairbands. (My hair is now too long in front for the jeweled bobby pin thing I was doing for a while.)

June 9 2006 I'm trying to grow my hair out for some stupid reason. I took this picture to illustrate how dorky I look wearing hairbands. It came out looking sort of cute solely out of spite.

I'm trying to accomplish that with grey, but it's not coming in fast enough. Even more disturbingly, a bunch of my grey hairs fell out recently.

You wouldn't believe how often I get exactly that reaction from people who haven't seen me in a while.

If you don't mind doing a lot of braiding, you could always get extensions. They're a lot of work to do, but not difficult work, and you can have instant long hair as long as you've got a few inches to start with. (If you have hair long enough to pull back like that, you've got enough.)
