yeah, i get what you're saying. it's one thing to identify yourself occasionally to people who know your kid/husband first as "X's whatever", at least as a first intro...but calling yourself "somebody's whatever" on a full time basis is different. it's like you've forfeited your own identity in favor of being nothing other than a supporting cast member to another person's life.
