The one of the woman who just gave birth looks like the child just crawled out on it's own. A little creepy.

From my experience that's fairly realistic. When my first child was born, after 36 hours of labor, it took me a while to figure out why in hell there was a naked baby lying on my stomach. I'd totally forgotten why I was dealing with the pain, and had just focused on dealing with the pain.

Well, you would know better than I. I just assumed they cut the cord, etc, before giving the child to the mother.

Nope. They put the baby on the mother's belly while they deal with the afterbirth, any stitches, etc. They don't cut the cord for a couple minutes, until after it stops pulsing.
