Dear Hardee's

As a general rule, it's best to have at least one competent employee scheduled for each shift. I understand this is the traditional role of the Shift Manager. Perhaps you might consider that model of ensuring that your employees are capable of taking and filling an order. That would be great.

Dear Self,
don't go all day without eating. It really makes everything else much harder to process.

PS: that unsweetened iced tea isn't doing much for your blood sugar, genius. Try food.

I am not a fan of the Hardee's drive-up spiel, as it ends with "Would you like to try our [insert current promo here]?" I usually do not want to try the "let's pretend that this burger is the newest most innovative thing you've ever encountered because we wrapped it in a lettuce leaf instead of bread, or put french fries under the bun" promo item, and it feels awkward to say "No, I don't. I'd like [insert order of regular menu items here]."

Some acknowledgement of "I see you standing there wishing to order, and I am standing here ready to receive your order" is definitely a nice thing, though.
