Note to Zeus

Dear Zeus,

you know that whole "afternoon/evening wind" thing you've got going in Missoula three seasons of the year? Yeah, the one which comes out of the West and is currently gusting at 29mph or 37km/h? Right, that one.

I ride East to work in the morning. I ride West to get home at around 5:30 pm. Work with me a little here, please? I mean, I appreciate the resistance training and all, but the grit in my face: not a fan.

Love,
Katrina

PS: On a level surface I have to work pretty hard to hit 25mph on the bike. Just saying.

It cracks me up that "letters to upstairs" is one of your tags. :-)

So far that tag has only one entry, but as I go back through old entries I'm sure the list will grow!

I just can't see it as Zeus. He would be too busy taking the form of a large barn animal and trying to have his way whatever females he could find (woman or beast).

Zephyr, perhaps? I forget, is Zephyr the East or West wind?

Zeus was the first weather god who came to mind. :-)

Zephyr is the soft spring wind. Also, Zephyr is my cat. She would love to help but can't. :)

Wendigo's your fellow, really, I think.

Well, in Greece Zephyr is from the West... but the geography of Greece is different than Missoula. Here, the wind from the West can be pretty burly.
