Actually, Mr. Obama is about 45 (see wikipedia and the minimum age for President is 35.
He probably won't run because:
1. He is still green (he needs more time on the national stage). 2. Hilary Clinton and/or Al Gore would be powerful, entrenched primary opponents. They would be well funded and supported by the establishment. I think if Obama runs it will be as the favorite and backed by the party aparatus - he seems to be a centrist and compromiser who is meeting people and shaking hands. 3. The Senate is a bad jumping ground. Ideally he would serve a term, then jump to being a Governor and then run.
